Fifi took 10 years off my life

Fifi and I were watching Oprah early Tuesday evening when she fell off the couch onto a pile of blankets and towels. She was non responsive and gasping for air. I got the fright of my life, I'd never seen a convulsion like that (my kids have all had convulsions with eyes rolling back and shaking, never like this) and I panicked. The convulsion lasted about 3-4 minutes and our neighbour came over to help with her as I didn't know ...

Corruption is now so high in Gauteng that the government issuse duplicate new car out, one for a law abiding citizen and one for a thugs so that some money can be generated from them that never overstep the law.

"A big, fat, black dude is dancing on a car-roof."

"You can't say that over the radio," replies the operator. "You have to
use the politically correct terminology."
Silence ......

love. Yes. That again. I somehow can't seem to stop entertaining it. perhaps this is because I am in love and therefore feel the need to get to grips with the feeling. There are many different kinds of love, but I have run into what I think is the best type of love to have. The mutual understanding. I guess I just know that this is right for me now, at the time. Brian Wilkinson
Introduction to my daily devotions

Radical Contemplation is a 24/7 relationship with God and my musings here are just a touch of it and conducted in the first person with God. When I think I am inspired I will change into red. When I am in alien thinking I will try to confess it. When I am talking to you, fellow devotee, I will put it in [square brackets]. Explanation of both my prayer ...

The Lord working in me through CRU@UKZN

Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU@UKZN) is a christian student movement/ministry aimed in sharing the, reviving and touching the un-churched friends and family on our campus most especially. To be apart of such a team of God-driven young future leaders of South Africa and America, is an inspiration for me personally. God fits into this in every way possible and I have strongly come to the revelation that it was His plan for me to have to leave home (...

Plak implements Google Street View

Yesterday morning I had a meeting with someone who is interested in using the Plak code for an application of his own. One of the questions he asked was, "What about Street View?" So, after the meeting, I decided to hook Plak into Street View. If you don't know what Street View is, take a look at this - Google Maps Street View

Anyway, the implementation was really easy. It took me longer to squeeze the HTML, nicely and cleanly, into ...

For quite a while already, Plak has provided a dynamic KML interface for Google Earth - Which is documented here Dynamic KML from Plak for Google Earth. Using the dynamic KML interface has probably been a bit too technical for most people, so I decided to implement a second KML interface, which is as easy as clicking a button.

On the new navigation menu bar at the top of each Plak's More Info page, you'll now find a button labeled KML.

Improvements to the Plak site

As part of the ongoing quest to make the Plak website better, a number of things have been changed and improved over the last few weeks.

The most noticeable change is the change to the Plak home page. The page was previously designed, as a fixed width page, to accommodate 800 x 600 monitors - Which is probably the lowest resolution still used, excluding mobile devices, of course. The changes to the Plak home page have now made it a variable width and ...
